Alban Elfed & The Sacred Druids Tour 2025
Eight souls gathered this September to walk the ancient lands of Cymru and Avalon, answering the call of the Sacred Druids Tour. What unfolded was not just a journey through mythic landscapes, but a weaving of weather, story, and spirit. The land tested us, welcomed us, and in the end, claimed us as her own.
Rain, Wind, and Ynys Llanddwyn
On the pilgrimage to Ynys Llanddwyn, the winds howled and the rains lashed against us. Cloaks clung, boots squelched, and yet there was joy. The storm carried us into the raw presence of the goddess, her voice in the waves and her breath in the gales. What could have been hardship became initiation: we were not simply visitors to the island, but participants in her wild, untamed song.
Alban Elfed Delayed, but Not Denied
We prepared to mark Alban Elfed at Bryn Celli Ddu, the ancient chamber. Twice we tried, and twice the skies answered with torrents of rain. The Afon Braint rose, breaking her banks and closing the way. For a moment, frustration stirred but then we remembered: in this land, it is the ancestors and spirits who guide the path.
A Ritual in the Grove of Dinas Emrys
That path led us to Dinas Emrys, the hill of prophecy where dragons once fought beneath the gaze of Merlin. There, hidden within a grove, beside a small waterfall, the land opened herself to us. Shafts of sunlight streamed through oak leaves, dappling the moss with gold. It was here, not in the place we had planned, that the ancestors gathered us. Our Alban Elfed ritual unfolded in their company, with the rushing water as our song. It was simple, powerful, and utterly alive with magic.
Becoming Part of Cymru’s Story
By journey’s end, something had shifted. Cymru had worked her way into the hearts of our group, and each of us left carrying her story within. In return, we too became threads in her living tapestry. This is what the Sacred Druids Tour offers: not only the chance to visit sacred sites, but to be claimed by them, to become part of the land’s unfolding song.
The Sacred Druids Tour 2025 was a great success. To those eight brave companions - thank you for stepping into the wind, the rain, the myth, and the magic. Cymru holds you now, and always will.
And for those who feel the call, perhaps next year, it will be you walking with us beneath the oaks, listening to the ancestors, and becoming part of Cymru’s story.
