A Milestone in my Druidic Journey
Initiation into the Urdd Derwyddon Môn
A significant moment in my life when I was initiated into the Anglesey Druid Order, known in Welsh as Urdd Derwyddon Môn. After a year of dedication to training, projects, and activities, I, along with others, had the privilege of being welcomed into this order.
The ceremony was performed by none other than Kristoffer Hughes, the Archdruid of the Order and it was a deeply moving experience that symbolised the culmination of my year-and-a-day long journey and the growth into a new chapter in my spiritual path.
The Urdd Derwyddon Môn is more than just an order; it is a School of Knowledge and Wisdom, specifically focused on Welsh culture and Druidry, both ancient and modern. It is dedicated to upholding and preserving the magic and mysteries embedded within our ancient stories, stories that have been passed down through generations. These stories are not just relics of the past; they hold profound truths and insights that can still be applied in today's world, offering guidance and understanding in navigating the complexities of modern life.
This initiation complements all the work I have been doing in my personal quest to preserve and maintain Welsh cultural and Druid knowledge and history. As a Druid, I walk a path that honours the wisdom of our ancestors and strives to bring it forward into the present, making it relevant and accessible to those who seek a deeper connection with nature, spirituality, and the cosmos.
In my role as a nature-based celebrant, I draw upon these ancient teachings to create meaningful ceremonies that honour the cycles of life and the natural world. Through the online courses I offer, the Sacred Druids Tour and the Mentoring and much more, I share this wisdom with others, helping them to understand and apply Druidic principles in their own lives.
In gratitude and reverence, I walk this path with renewed purpose, knowing that the spirit of Wales, its people and its stories are with me every step of the way. There is much more to come and I look forward to what the future holds as I deepen my connection to the land, the culture and the ancient wisdom that has shaped me into the Druid I am today.
A new chapter of growth. It strengthens my resolve to continue on this Druidic path, to share the stories and teachings of Wales and to ensure that the magic, wisdom and mysteries of our ancestors continue to live on in the modern world.
